Cyber Science 3D
Virtually dissect 3D anatomy in a real-time interactive 3D environment

Cyber Science 3D™ is a comprehensive package of detailed, interactive virtual dissection experiences focused on aiding in the learning and exploration of natural anatomy and mechanical structures

Rather than providing scripted sessions or video clips, this product instead places high quality educational resources directly in the hands of instructors and students to maximize the level of interactivity in the classroom - interactivity between teachers and students and interactivity between students and the content.

The result is a unique, immersive visual experience that allows students to observe and interact with high fidelity models of structures in stereoscopic (or non-stereoscopic) 3D.

Why Cyber Science 3D?

  • Interactivity is vital to the learning experience!
  • Biology can be difficult to visualize.
  • Text books and 2D pictures are not always enough.
  • It is impossible to repeat dissection exercises or to correct mistakes.
  • Plastic models are costly.

Key Features

Improved Learning
Under grant funding from the National Science Foundation, Dr. Robert Tallitsch of Augustana College conducted a study showing a 30% increase in student learning and retention using Cyber Anatomy’s products.

Customizable Content
Teachers can use the software to produce detailed sequences highlighting scientific concepts, use multiple languages and grade-appropriate labeling, and define their own labels and functional descriptions to produce a customized learning experience.

Hundreds of Activities
The growing Cyber Science 3D library includes over 150 models and activities in Human Anatomy, Astronomy, Botany, Biology, Earth Science, and Engineering; as well as a detailed Chemistry series including an Interactive Periodic Table, an Atom Sandbox, and a Molecule Viewer.

Fully Interactive
Cyber Science 3D offers much more than plastic models, movie clips or static photographs. The user can manipulate all models using controls such as pan, zoom, rotate, peel, explode, and label. The content is perfectly suited for use on an Interactive Whiteboard!

Engaging
Students become active learners when using Cyber Science 3D content, with freedom to navigate and investigate all facets of an activity independently, or as part of a group.

High Fidelity
Cyber sCience 3D content provides unparalleled levels of quality and detail. You can check it out for yourself through a free 30-day trial!

3D
All content is available in immersive, stereoscopic 3D when connected to a 3D Ready display or projector. For schools with traditional display technology, all content also runs in non-stereoscopic 3D on standard computers, projectors, and interactive whiteboards as well!

Available Content

Cyber Science 3D™ content spans a wide range of natural anatomy, as well as biological and mechanical structures.

Instructors can use the content in a lecture environment to demonstrate terms, labels, and spatial relationships between objects in all our simulations.

cyberscience 3d anatomy

Human Anatomy

Our Cyber Science 3D™ Introductory Human Anatomy series provides a variety of simulations of anatomical systems. Each simulation is available for display via a desktop or laptop computer through an internet connection or via a one-time software download. The simulations can also be configured for display on interactive whiteboards, or through a connection to a traditional (2D) or stereographic (3D ready) projector. Instructors can use the content in a lecture environment to demonstrate human anatomy, including terms, labels, and spatial relationships. Imagine traversing a nerve path or the digestive system, peeling away layers of muscle and layers of organs, or hiding external features to reveal underlying constructs!

cyberscience 3d zoology

Zoology

Cyber Science 3D™ Zoology is our most popular series. This series provides fully dissectible frogs, cats, and fetal pigs, in addition to a wide variety of other sea creatures, animals, and insects. Our current customers have had success using the software to replace physical animal dissections in the classroom. Other schools have reported significant benefit to biology instruction by using the Cyber Science 3D™ software to reinforce dissection laboratory experiments. Instructors can enable or disable the labeling feature to support quizzing.

cyberscience 3d botany

Botany

The Cyber Science 3D™ Botany series focuses on demonstrating botanical systems at various stages of development. Our Corn model includes three stages of development: a kernel, a seedling, and a stalk. Each plant is fully dissectible, and provides a full array of user controls: rotate, zoom, pan, peel/stick, hide/unhide, transparency, and explode.

cyberscience 3d microbiology

Microbiology

The Cyber Science 3D™ Microbiology series best demonstrates the novelty of our software, as microscopic organisms come to life in a way previously unavailable in K-12 classrooms. This series includes plant and animal cells, viruses, DNA, and microorganisms such as flagellates and bacteria. The Microbiology series can be used to instruct students in the basic structure, function, and behavior of microorganisms. The software is very well suited to augmenting laboratory microscopy sessions and reinforcing textbook lessons.

cyberscience 3d earth science

Earth Science

An interactive volcano is the initial offering in our Cyber Science 3D™ Earth Science line. Students and teachers are able to fully dissect the construct to analyze common elements in this geological formation. The Cyber Science team is currently at work on several different types of volcanoes (Strato, Rift, Underwater, Super, and Shield). They also have plans to extend their work to other geological formations – and astronomy – in the near future.

cyberscience 3d paleontology

Paleontology

Our Cyber Science 3D™ Paleontology line started with our dissectible Tyrannosaurus Rex, which we unveiled at the 2010 ISTE Conference in Denver. Our second dinosaur, the Triceratops, is now available, and will shortly be followed by five additional new dinosaur models. Rather than trying to guess at the underlying musculature and organs of dinosaurs, our Paleontology series focuses on the size, shape, and underlying skeletons of dinosaurs. A human model is provided to give the student a sense of scale of these impressive creatures.

cyberscience 3d chemistry

Chemistry

We are very excited about our Cyber Science 3D™ Chemistry series!
Our interactive Periodic Table has received quite a bit of attention from chemistry teachers across the country. The Periodic Table is an excellent teaching aid, and will be the control panel for our new, interactive Cyber-Chemistry exercises.

cyberscience 3d math

Math

We have received a great deal of positive feedback from customers regarding our Cyber Science series of products. The most common question we get is “so, where is the math?” We are nearing completion on our first math simulation, which provides an interactive experience allowing students and teachers to build and analyze one-, two- and three-dimensional shapes and measurements. This tool is very well suited for classroom instruction, or for independent exploration by students.
We are also working on several new concepts that will extend our math series to the full K-12 range.

cyberscience 3d engineering

Engineering

Our Cyber Science 3D™ Engineering series was also introduced at the 2010 ISTE Conference with our dissectible V-8 engine. Like all of our simulations, the V-8 provides an excellent interactive experience on conventional (2D) displays, and provides an unrivaled learning experience in stereographic 3D (a special graphics card and active 3D glasses are required).
