Wordwall WordPad

The new wireless handsets give a unique experience unlike any other classroom handset software on the market. It allows students not only to vote, but to express opinions and submit answers using joypad controls, and contribute ideas using the phone-style predictive system.

The WordPad has all the features you'd need to perform assessments in a way that is powerful and engaging, but this is only a tiny part of what the system is capable of. You can use it for starters, for main activities and for plenaries. It can be a way of breaking up a lesson or a way of exploring ideas more deeply.

Optivote Classroom IR32

Optivote provides a range of handheld devices to suit every need and budget. In addition to Optivote software's template system for creating questions, a PowerPoint interface makes your existing PowerPoint files interactive, immediately. Optivote's software is true multi-user, and can be deployed over a network. In fact, Optivote's internet capability for distributing & sharing content is ideal for real time dispersed location polling.

The IR8 Handset has eight raised buttons clearly marked A - H and a single press sends the user's response to a receiver device plugged into the trainer's PC via a USB port. A line of sight to the receiver is optimal but not essential and in a standard classroom environment the signal will bounce off walls and objects.

The RF8 Handset has eight raised buttons clearly marked A - H and a single press sends the user's response to a receiver device plugged into the trainer's PC via a USB port. The handset functions in exactly the same ways as the IR8 handset, but with a much faster response time and greater range of signal. Unlike the infra red systems, the RF system does not require a line of sight to the host receiver, which can be tucked away out of sight.
